CAR FREE GAME 1 (2025)

Land transport accounts for around 15% of Singapore's total carbon emissions. As part of SG60,  MOVE&JOY launched #CarFreeGame - a Whole-of-Nation campaign - to encourage more to go car-free when possible.

From 9 August to 31 October, 954 participants collectively avoid 7.1 tonnes of GHG emissions by choosing active mobility options. Those who completed at least 60km of car-free trips on MOVE&JOY app qualified for a 'Squid Games-inspired' battle-royale on 8 November where the 'last player standing' (Player 035) won S$1,888 cash*.

#CarFreeGame by MOVE&JOY was supported by SG Eco Fund and is part of Land Transport Authority's #WorldCar FreeDaySG.

This initiative also supports United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) - mainly SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by encouraging eco-friendly mobility and integrating sustainable practices into daily life.
